Adam Murphy is the boss of the murder victim Daniel Goldstein.
Adam confesses that he shot at Goldstein. It should be a duel, so that they can impress Julia Foster. Goldstein had calculated that the guns were much too vague, so they could not even meet on the distance back. Julia confirmed the story.
Castle and Beckett test of how inaccurate shooting antique guns and find out that a precise goal can be met almost impossible, so the death of Daniel was probably an accident.
