Brooke Carver is the wife of the murder victim Deon Carver. Brooke had purchased and planted a listening bug in her husband's calculator at his office.
When Beckett and Castle learn from Detective Ryan that she purchased it, she claimed to them that she bought the bug because her husband's long hours at work made her think he was cheating on her.
It was later learned that she heard all about the scheme and arguing between her husband and Random Pierce. She killed her husband to keep the treasure for herself.
