Dawn is District Attorney Lou Karnacki's administrative assistant, and, in "Law & Murder", the unwitting provider of the first confirmation that the D.A. is not operating entirely above board.
She is a rather pleasant, meek-seeming lady, who considers it her job to keep the irrelevancies off her boss' desk. D.A. Karnacki's overreaction to Beckett questioning Dawn is a serious crack in the foundation of his composure and causes his friend, Captain Montgomery, to begin to wonder genuinely whether Karnacki might be involved in the murder of Joe McUsic.
