Judge Fitz is a judge in New York City.
In "Law & Murder", he presided over the trial of Otis Williams - for the murder of Lyla Addison - and was compelled to declare a mistrial when Juror Number Seven, Joe McUsic, died during the summations.
The death was later shown to be a poisoning, although the retrial did not occur as fresh evidence was discovered, proving her brother, Stephen Addison, to be Lyla's true killer.
